Bengaluru Veeraru stands to #FightCOVID19

Bengaluru Veeraru team took part in a discussion with the officials of BBMP & Bengaluru City Police to understand all the ground challenges. After the discussion, Bengaluru Veeraru team called out all the NGOs registered in the BV platform for an online meeting in the third week of March and discussed how everyone could join hands and fight the pandemic in Namma Bengaluru.
After the brainstorming discussion with all the NGOs, BV took forward these initiatives:

  • • BV Covid-19 Dashboard: It provides Real-Time information on COVID cases across the globe.
  • • Research & documentation of FAQs regarding Corona Virus.
  • • Awareness on COVID19 in and around the Slums, Daily Wage & Migrant Workers communities.
  • • Distributed 4000+ Ration Kits by sourcing from Partners, Corporates & Public:
    • a. To Needy through identified Partners.
    • b. To Needy who reached out to BV.
    • c. To Needy who reached out to Police Stations.

  • Bengaluru Donor Map(Mapping Private Donors who are providing food and ration (NGOs, RWAs, HNIs, and many more))

• Bengaluru Veeraru team took part in a discussion with the officials of BBMP & Bengaluru City Police to understand all the ground challenges.

• After the discussion, Bengaluru Veeraru team called out all the NGOs registered in the BV platform for an online meeting in the third week of March and discussed how everyone could join hands and fight the pandemic in Namma Bengaluru.

• NGOs voluntarily took up tasks in which they had experience and in-depth knowledge.
• Today after 50+ days, the BV Team has developed:

  • 1. 10+ NGOs & Partners.
  • 2. 20+ Maps benefiting 26 Police Stations & 44 Wards of BBMP.
  • 3. 300+ Volunteers.
  • 4. 4765 Kits distributed.
  • 5. 2 Lakhs+ Life’s Touched.
